25 SUMMARIES1) The Summer Sherman Loved Meby: Jane St. AnthonyThis story was about...2 teenagers names Margret and Sherman. When they were little they were really good friends and used to play together. Margret saw Sherman every once in a while (they lived in the same nieborhood), But they really didnt talk much. Sherman (out of no where) ask Margret to ride her bike down to the pond they used to play at so they could hang out. from then on they hung out almost very day all summer long. Margret thinks of Sherman as just a friend, but as they spent more time together she realised maybe it was something more. It's apparent that sherman really likes Marget. Along the way Sherman finds a baby squirrel and names it little Margret (not by chance). Sherman brought little Margret almost every where he went, including when they hung out, which brought them closer. One day Sharman ask Margret and some of the kids from the neiborhood (about 6 kids) to a little "get together" outside after dark. He rode his bike around with little Margret on his head. When suddenly a guy comes around the corner ( in his car) and hit sherman knocking him off his bike and causing Little Margret to go flying across the rode. All the kids rushed to sherman's aid, and he was in the hospital for weeks. Margret wasnt able to visit him in the hospital, but once he was released she visited him very often. Everyone was so worried about Sherman they forgot all about Little Margret so Margret dicided to go look for her. After abotu 30 minutes of looking she found her. Though she wasn't very happy what she found, Little Margret was on the side of the road dead..Through all of the stuff that happened, it made Margret realise how much she really cared about sherman.2) Secrets, lies, and Algebraby: Windy LichtmanTess is just a normal 8th grader, solving the problem of middle school from a day-to-day bacis. Until out of no where a family friend, Nina died. Her husband Rob claimed to be innocent. The police and Tess's parents thought that Nina commited suicide. Question is why would she kill her self her life was going fine. Tess thought other wise, it was a little suspicous. Tess was ditermined to find out what really happened. It really could be anything. Nina brought her cat almost every where she went, yet (where they found her) in a car, dead, she didn't have her cat? that cat is gone too.3) Keeping Cool In Middel Schoolby: Kathleen O'dellAgnes and her friend prejean are still trying to get over middle school. In other words "keeping it cool." They quickly figure any wrong move could ruin their whole reputation through out middle school. They learned that from another girl who forgot to shave her under arms, that didnt go so well. they do everything together. but out of nowhere prejean has jumped in and decided to run for class president, but Agnes would rather try to be invisible. that's hard because Prejean asked Agnes to be her campaign manager. And Aram, a boy in Agnes's art class who seems to have a crush on her, she likes being around him..but he is kind of odd..4)Percy jackson and the Lighting Theifby: Rick Riordan'Percy Jackson s just a normal kid living in New York with him mom and his step dad (smelly gabe). that is until he finds out he is a half blood (which is when a mortal and a god have a child). He didnt even remember his real dad. He is forced to go to a camp called "camp halfblood" which is where all the halfblood kids are forced to go for the summer. the camp is protected by a invisable force field. He hadnt been there very long and suddenly he is requested to go on a journey. His mission is to go to the underworld and get Zues's lighting bolt back from Hades. Along with him he takes Annabeth and Grover.5)you wishby: Mandy HubbardIts Kayla's sixteenth birthday and it seems like everything is going wrong...her grades are doewn, and the biggest thing is she has been in love with her bestfriends boyfriend for over 2 years. She invites both of them to her oparty but they went out to dinner beofre they came and they were late...Her wish for her birthday is: I wish my birthday wishes actually came true. Because they never freakin' do. Right then and there weird things started happening, a life supply of gumballs, a my little pony. and then it hit her. All the wishes she had ever wished since she was little were comming true. only problem: when she was 15 she wished Ben (Nicole's boy friend) would kiss her. whick is a HUGE problem! She figues out that that monday the wishes will stop, but what was she going to do agbout the kiss? They end up breaking up and Kayla gets her kiss. He has been through a lot, his dad left when he was not even a year old and his mom was left to support him. His mom has always been there for him. this is how it started: When he was 2 he started playing the drums. at around 10 he tought himself how to play the guitar. it was a hard journey to reach where he is right now. it wasnt all fun and games either. When scooter found him he took him to the record company and got him signed and a year or 2 after he released his first album "one time". Since then justin has changed a lot. went on his first tour which he had a blast doing! he still has to do homework, and go to school but he is homeschooled.you would be suprised he is just a normal kid, he hangs out with friends and everything.7)markedby: p.c. cast and Kristen CastSixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird got Marked as a fledgling vampyre. she has to join the House of Night, which is a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the Change.not everybody that gets marked does..It stinks having to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. Zoey finds out she has amazing powers, but along with her powers comes the want for blood and an unfortunate ability to Imprint her human ex-boyfriend.To add to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers8)Girl in the Arenaby: lise HainesA gil named lyn lives in a huge house in Cambridge. she Lives in such a world that does Glad Lifestyle. Her mom had 7 husbands, 6 of them died in the arena. Her most recent husband ends up being killed in the arena just like the rest of her many "dad''s." Lyn is left with the choice to either marry Uber or her family ( mom, brother ,lyn.) will loose everything. If she marries him she will be a Glad wife. She doesnt want to do either do she dicides to fight for her own dicision. She doesnt feel that Uber has the right to control her even though he killed her dad.9)The Last Holiday Concertandrew ClementsPalmer Intermediate School where all the elementary students from Collinsand Newman Elementary for sixth grade. Hart a student who shoot a rubber band during music class. The rubber band hit the music teacher, Mr. Meinert, on the neck, and Hart ends up with after-school detention for two days. The detention time is the easy part. Mr. Meinert makes Hart become the director, choreographer, costume artist, and producer of the last holiday concert. Mr. Meinert found out he will not have a job to come back to in January because of a budget cut in the schools county. Hart learns its harder to direct the concert than he thought it would be. It all ends up working out the concert goes great! 10)The diary of Anne FrankAlbert HackettAnne is a 16 year old during the Holocaust. She is a Jew and, at this time period in Germany Hitler has taken over and is trying to get rid of all the jews.She is forced to go into hiding with her family. Its so bad they are force to live behind a cupboard (secret door.) They have to keep the lights off and be very quiet. Anne had to read in the dark for so long her eyes got messed up. The only problem was they couldnt leave the house to go get glasses.They stay in hiding for 2 years and along the way she wirtes a diary, which is what this story was based off of.
